About this Position
The Global Head of Maintenance will lead and oversee the global Henkel Adhesives Operations maintenance strategy across all manufacturing sites (100+ sites) within the company. This role is responsible for defining the strategy and the functional requirements for the sites, assessing sites maturity and defining improvement plans, optimizing maintenance practices, upskilling the maintenance community and driving world-class performance in maintenance & asset management. The role requires collaboration with regional and site-level teams to implement best practices and increase maturity.
What you´ll do
- Develop and lead Henkel’s global maintenance and asset management strategy across 130 sites.
- Assess maturity and define multi-year improvement roadmaps for selected priority sites.
- Lead the global Maintenance Excellence Program, including governance and stakeholder alignment.
- Standardize core maintenance processes, such as planning, scheduling, and reliability engineering.
- Manage and improve CMMS systems (e.g., SAP PM), including master data governance and standardization.
- Launch and maintain Power BI dashboards to track global maintenance KPIs and progress.
- Coordinate and deliver training programs and upskilling initiatives across the global maintenance community.
- Define and implement global standards for preventive maintenance, spare parts, and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with site and regional leaders to ensure alignment with operations, engineering, and supply chain.
- Influence without direct authority by coaching, enabling best practices, and driving adoption of global standards.
What makes you a good fit
- 15+ years of experience in maintenance and asset management, including multi-site or regional/global scope.
- Strong technical expertise in TPM, RCM, ISO 55000, and industrial maintenance best practices.
- Proven ability to drive change and standardization in decentralized manufacturing environments.
- Experience with CMMS tools (SAP PM preferred) and data analytics (Power BI).
- Solid understanding of regulatory compliance (e.g., OSHA, EPA) and SHE-critical maintenance.
- Strong communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills, especially without direct authority.
- Project and program management capabilities, including roadmap planning and execution.
- Demonstrated success in training, upskilling, and team capability development.
- Previous experience in collaborative, cross-functional environments, ideally across engineering and ops.
- Preferred: Certifications like CMRP, CRL, PMP, and/or experience in Lean, Six Sigma, or consulting.
